Classical pianist, repetiteur and accompanist specialized in Lied and opera.
Educated at the Royal Danish Academy DKDM followed by further studies with the renowned accompanist Dalton Baldwin, in France. 1989-2015 employed at the Royal Danish Academy and the Opera Academy as an accompanist and repetiteur for singers.
For several years responsible for inviting guest professors the the singing department at the Royal Danish Academy, among others Helmut Deutsch, Roger Vignoles and Rudolf Jansen as well as renowned singers such as Anthony Rolfe-Johnson, Judith Beckman, Diane Montague and the Italian opera coach Ubaldo Gardini.
Guest professor at the Conservatory in Oslo as an accompanist akkompagnatør with Ingrid Bjoner.
Mr. Fischer has made recitals with a long list of the top ranking Danish singers, i.a. Inga Nielsen, Ulrik Cold and Ann Petersen.
He has arranged a substantiel number of Lied-recitals, i.a. a series of concerts with 150 Schubert Lieder divided between 16 young singers.
Composers such as Debussy og Tchaikovsky have also been the centres of some of his theme koncerts.
During the last decade mr. Fischer has focused intensely on solo repertoire and chamber music (especially piano trios and violin and cello sonatas). These recitals have mainly been focused on composers such as Bach, Schubert, Liszt and Chopin. The 2020 recitals will be centered around Beethoven.
